Who we are
Our website address is: https://jimstewart360.ca. We are mainly a photography based website.
What we do
We post or publish articles of our own interest. You may find it some of it interesting too.
What we don’t do
We do not collect your data or information to sell to a third party. Full stop.
There are no ads, no popups, no chat, no login, no newsletters for you to sign up for, no surveys “about your experience,” no podcasts, no chum bucket, no contests (to collect your information), no 1000 likes to get a prize, no clickbait, no promotional items, no reselling page, no angle, no spam, no hook, no line, no sinker.
What information do we collect
A valid email address is necessary to leave a comment. This is to prove your identity as a human being and helps filter out spam bots. Regardless, we do not sell or pass on your email address, your IP address (that a website automatically collects when it does a handshake), or any information you leave in a comment box.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
FYI: Did you know?
Re: Embedded content from other websites
At the present time we have no plans to embed content from other websites. But here’s something of interest: You should be aware that articles on websites that include embedded content (e.g. videos and images, etc.) behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
If you have questions about any of this please send me an email.
Thanks.
