About this website~

This website is just a place for me to park my photographs and post anything I might care to write. That’s pretty much it.

It is called 360 not only because of 360° panoramic photography, but because life is about more than one thing. Besides, jimstewart-dot-anything was taken (snicker).

This website is a work in progress.

Why we moved here~

In the early 2000s I began noticing a lot of breathing and heat stroke type problems living in the humidity of southern Ontario. I found the air quality and humidex advisories to be suffocating, and either it was getting worse, or I was getting worse, or both. At the same time we were thinking of buying a small farm somewhere but nothing ever quite clicked. We began casting our eye toward the Maritimes, either PEI or southern New Brunswick, and in 2012 Dorothy and I moved to a little farm near Sussex, NB. We like it, and we like the people here.

About New Brunswick~

New Brunswick is probably the most underrated province in Canada. Mainly because of the placement of the TransCanada or Hwy 2 through the middle of nowhere and a monotonous drive, it became known as “the drive through province.” Thing is, if you come in from the States’ side and travel through Campobello Island, and along the Bay of Fundy coast to Saint John-St. Martins-Fundy Trail Parkway-Alma-Hopewell Rocks, etc., it is totally different experience.

New Brunswick is an outdoor experience. The truth is:

• You can spend the rest of your life exploring the waterfalls of NB.
• You can spend the rest of your life exploring the hiking trails of NB.
• You can spend the rest of your life kayaking or canoeing in NB.
• You can spend the rest of your life exploring the night sky here.
• You can spend the rest of your life exploring the geology here.
• You can spend the rest of your life exploring just one region, such as the Campobello/St. Andrews/Grand Manan region.
• You can spend the rest of your life exploring just Fundy, Kouchibouguac, and Mt. Carleton parks.
• You can spend the rest of your life photographing or painting here.

I could go on, but you get the idea: there just aren’t enough lifetimes to explore this place.

I hope this website will convey that in some small way.
