An iconic bridge in infrared~

I had just returned from a walk along Dodd Creek with a friend when we climbed the bank that put us up by the west side of the Wabash Railway Bridge, know locally as the Athletic Park Bridge or simply the Ath Park Bridge. It was originally the Great Western Railway Trestle Bridge, built in 1872.

We crossed over, taking in the view of the structure and the park. The old iron bridge has never failed to fascinate me, as it has kids and adults for generations.

Soon after we had crossed we could see a train slowly approaching from the Wabash/CN rail yard.

Above~ Some infrared images around the bridge. Some of these are in black and white, some have the “proper” channel swap in infrared, some not. I do not follow any set rules for processing. For those of you into this stuff I believe a 590nm filter was used on a Nikon 3100 full spectrum camera.
